        <Text language="eng">&lt;p&gt;The use of fine-bubble diffusion systems in aeration basins of varying size and geometry has greatly increased since the 1990&amp;#39;s. However, oxygen transfer performances predicted at the project stage do not adequately take the specific hydrodynamic conditions of each site into account at this time. This document provides definitions of the variables characteristic of oxygen transfer in relation to fine-bubble diffusion, criteria and non-specific measurements characterising oxygenation performances of aeration systems. Relationships making it possible to predict oxygen transfer coefficients and oxygenation outputs in relation to the factors mentioned above are presented. Finally, examples are given to illustrate the application of these relationships to aeration system design.&lt;/p&gt;</Text>
