Ivan Ineich

Ivan Ineich is a systematist at the Paris Natural History Museum. He was curator of the French national collections of Reptiles for more than 30 years. He made numerous travels mostly to Africa and Pacific tropical islands. He described or participated to the description of several new species of lizards and snakes from all-over the world. He also discovered several species previoulsy considered as extinct like the giant Bocourt's terrific skink in New Caledonia. . He published about 500 scientific papers and several books among which some on sea snakes.
