Gérard Marty holds the French Agrégation in Economics and Management, as well as a PhD in sociology. He teaches in higher education and is a research associate at UMR BETA (Bureau d'économie théorique et appliquée). His work is part of the laboratory's EFE (Environment, Forest, Energy) research group and focuses on the organisation of commercial activities in the forestry-wood industry and the valuation of forest ecosystem services.
