Ray L. Ison is Professor of Systems and Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Environmental Decision Making in the Systems Discipline, Centre for Complexity and Change in the UK Open University. Ray has an initial background in grassland systems research and teaching but more recently has been concerned with applied systems research for environmental decision making and the design of learning systems for 'managing' sustainable development.
