After spending 25 years working in New Caledonia on the links between shrimp farming and the environment in tropical settings, Hugues Lemonnier broadened his research to study the impact of human activities on the land-sea continuum. Since 2024, he has headed a coastal laboratory at Ifremer specializing in marine resources and the marine environment.
