Dr David Gibbon was until June 2000 Head of Department and Professor of Small Farm Systems at the Department of Rural Development Studies, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and is now based in the UK. He has been teaching in universities in Tanzania, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom in Crop Production, Agriculture and Farming Systems Research and Development and Development Studies for 30 years at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels.
