Yves-Marie Allain

Yves-marie Allain is a horticultural engineer and landscape gardener trained at the Potager du roi in Versailles. He was first director of green spaces for local authorities, before joining the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, in charge of the Jardin des plantes de Paris and the Arboretum de Chèvreloup. He has written numerous books on the relationship between man and plants, including “Une histoire des serres” and “Une histoire des jardins potagers”, published by Quæ.
