Jean-Yves Floc'h, professor emeritus at the University of western Brittany (UBO) in Brest, is a research scientist in marine algae biology. Author of some fifty scientific articles and co-author of the Guide des algues des mers d'Europe (Ed. Delachaux & Niestlé, 2006), a true nature-lover, he likes to accompany students of all ages on field trips and work on the ground.
