Summary

This field guide on the flora of West African dry zones is the updated synthesis of more than thirty years of forest management practice. The 1,500 colour photographs of the growth habits trees, flowers, fruit, leaves and bark facilitate the identification of each of the 360 woody species presented. This new revised edition (1st edition in 2000) updates the botanical nomenclature of some species. Its novelty resides in the wealth of additional information it provides on the uses of each plant.
